New York Fashion Week's Top Models : Fall 2013

Cara Delevingne (Women)
Cara is practically everywhere now and I totally love her for it, like when she opened the shows for DKNY , Diane von Furstenberg and Jeremy Scott. Since winning the coveted Model of the Year from the British Fashion Awards in 2012, she has nailed many fashion shows and is currently dominating the British and even global modelling scene. Shows she walked for include Anna SuiCarolina HerreraDerek LamJason WuMarc JacobsMarc by Marc JacobsMichael KorsOscar de la RentaRag & BoneRodarteTommy Hilfiger, and Tory Burch. She looked super confident on the DVF runway when she gave her signature pucker-up grin rather than the usual straight-on look. Love her!
Tilda Lindstam (IMG)
Tilda would definitely count NYFW as her best fashion week ever ,walking for a total of 68 shows for Spring 2013 and opening for Victoria Beckam and Suno as well as closing for Philsophy di Alverta Ferretti and Tommy Hilfiger. Other shows that she walked for : 3.1 Phillip Lim, Alexander Wang, Altuzarra, BCBG Max Azria, Belstaff, Calvin Klein Collection, Derek Lam, Diesel Black Gold, DKNY, Donna Karan, Edun, J Brand, Jason Wu, Kenneth Cole Collection, Lacoste, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Narciso RodriguezPrabal Gurung, Proenza Schouler, Rag & Bone, Reed Krakoff, Rodarte and Tory Burch. She looked amazing in an equally amazing fox fur coat by Marc Jacobs (the show with the giant sun) which featured many different shades of grey and beautiful soft textures.
Esther Heesch (Next)
Since the German 16-year-old made her runway debut at Dior's fall 2012 couture show, she has advanced to book a total of twenty shows at both the Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks, which is a mean feat for a model as young as her. As she walked in New York for the first time this season, she has turned up on another twenty runways, opening 3.1 Philip Lim, Diesel Black Gold, Rag & Bone, and closing Reed Krakoff. She also walked for AltuzarraBCBG Max Azria ,BelstaffCalvin Klein Collection, DKNY, Donna Karan, Kenneth Cole Collection, Lacoste, Marc Jacobs, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Narciso Rodriguez, Prabal Gurung, Proenza Schouler, Tommy HilfigerTory Burch and Vera Wang .

This American clotheshorse is the other of my two current obsessions, the other being English glamazon Cara Delevingne. Although for NYFW the number of shows she walked was very little compared to fellow model Tilda Lindstam, she either opened (Carolina Herrera) or closed (Michael KorsOscar de la Renta) and opened and closed for Anna Sui , for four out of the six shows, the other two being Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. She looked absolutely stunning in the deep purple-blue gown by Oscar de la Renta which had silver leaf-like motifs with pictures of forest animals to go with and also looked gorgeous on the Michael Kors runway wearing a diamond-studded dress with a skirt and a black flowing train .

Nastya Kusakina (Women)
The Russian Fanning look-alike is having a solid Spring 2013 season with 37 shows total and in NYFW, she booked a total of 17 shows, including opening at Oscar de la Renta and closing at Tadashi Shoji. Galliano, whom Oscar de la Renta worked with for this collection, probably taught her how to wear that black cloche hat. And maybe how to tie that black pleated belt. Back to the point, those 17 shows are as follows : 3.1 Philip LimBCBG Max Azria ,Helmut Lang, Hervé LégerKenneth Cole CollectionMarc by Marc Jacobs, Philosophy di Alberta FerrettiPrabal Gurung, Ralph Lauren, Suno, Theyskens' Theory, Vera Wang, Y-3, Yigal Azrouël, and Zac Posen.
