Grammy's 2013: Style Cookie's Best Dressed List

Rihanna in Azzedine Alaia
I expected Rihanna to turn up in some really risqué or bombastic tog that would draw gasps or raised eyebrows from critics. But surprise surprise, she actually turned up in a crimson custom Azzedine Alaia gown and she looks utterly gorgeous! The gown showed off her toned torso and complemented her ombré hair while the soft, flowy train was pure glamour. She opted for thick and dark eye make-up which made her eyes stand out and bright red lips complemented her crimson dress. The outfit is completed with Neil Lane jewellery and Manolo Blahnik shoes.
Beyoncé in OSMAN by Osman Yousefzada
I love that she’s experimenting with under the radar designers and unexpected silhouettes (hello, jumpsuit!)  instead of sticking to the usual gowns and frocks made by top tier couturiers. The trompe l’oeil at the white sleeve scored her major points and also drew attention to her toned arms. The sleek pants showed off her shapely legs and the clean fuss-free make- up gave her a fresh-faced look. The classy outfit is then complete with Swarovski's black rectangular Gemma clutch.
Kelly Rowland in Georges Chakra Couture
My first impression of this was W.O.W. This outfit is by far one of the best (and one of the most daring ) outfits I’ve seen at this year's Grammy’s. The halter neckline showed off her toned arms and the sheer fabric cutouts are contrasting against the black triangular patterns. On anyone else, this dress would look vulgar but on her, it really emphasised her curves and made her look totally red-carpet-ready. Simple, casual but neat hair accessorized with Lorraine Schwartz jewels top off this stunning look.
Adele in Valentino
Grammy's are all about taking risks and Adele did just that. Usually all clad in black, the “Skyfall” singer decided to break the trend by donning a bright floral number from Valentino. The pink and red hues complemented her fair skin tone and showed off her waist. Adele's signature thick eyeliner made her eyes a focal point and the matching floral pumps added a finishing touch to the whole look.
Carrie Underwood in Roberto Cavalli
I love how the country star turned heads in a Roberto Cavalli gown that played off her platinum blonde hair and showed off her curves. The swirled embellishments helped to draw eyes to her beautiful figure and the clean make-up with a touch of gloss gave her an air of elegance, but it was her $31 million worth of Johnathon Arndt gazillion-carat diamond jewellery that elevated her status to red carpet diva
Taylor Swift in J.Mendel
Besides her chart-topping hits, Taylor Swift is also fabulously known for her amazing style sense. The "Red" country-pop singer proved herself once again as worthy of Best Dressed List status when she walked the red carpet clad in a Grecian white backless J. Mendel gown with silver accents. Her signature bangs drew attention to her beautiful eyes and light pink lip gloss kept the look clean and simple. Jimmy Choo shoes, Lorraine Schwartz earrings, an Ofira ring and a bracelet by Jaimin with Lorraine Schwartz are just the right accessories for the perfect Greek goddess look.

Jennifer Lopez in Anthony Vaccarello
The Latina pop star pulled off an Angelina Jolie by wearing a leg-baring thigh-high Anthony Vaccarello dress that draped over her figure. She swept up her brown tresses into a neat bun and kept her make-up simple with only slick of nude gloss. Lopez completed her look with Tom Ford heels, Norman Silverman gems and a Jimmy Choo clutch.
Solange Knowles in Ralph & Russo Couture
The singer shimmered in a glittery bright emerald Ralph & Russo Couture gown with a thigh high split.I love how the gown fits her like a glove but doesn't overemphasise her figure. The emerald green hue ,which complements her skin tone, is also Pantone's Colour of the Year. A pair of bright orange pumps adds a pop of colour at her ankles and Lorraine Schwartz jewels complete the look.
Flaunting her assets: Katy Perry covers up her arms and legs on the Grammys red carpet but shows off her breasts in a cut out dress
Karlie Kloss in Michael Kors
The supermodel and VS Angel shone in a gorgeous bright baby blue cutout frock from Michael Kors's Spring/Summer 2013 collection.Little else was needed for the eye-catching details — the revealed skin did all the talking. With her new tousled bob framing her beautiful face, Karlie completed the look with dark smoky eye makeup, a flawless complexion and simple silver sandals which were also by Michael Kors .Even Michael  himself praised the look :“A cut above… @KarlieKloss looking fierce in #MichaelKors at @TheGrammys!” Michael tweeted.“I conquered the red carpet at the #Grammys, now time for more interviews and fashion coverage with @MTV” Karlie tweeted after hitting the red carpet. She definitely did!
Katy Perry in Gucci
Katy Perry stole the show in a jaw-dropping mint green Gucci dress featured a keyhole cut-out that flaunted her incredible gravity defying curves. Staying away from the usual Crayola-inspired hair, she chose to let down her tresses. The multi-coloured floral embellished neckline was a fun touch to the figure-hugging gown and the light green hue  brought out her equally green eyes. A zillion-watt smile topped off the classy-sassy look.
